It was a pretty uneventful trip to the Fiji Islands even though my flight was a bit delayed. I thought I would have trouble like I did on the way into New Zealand but it was not to be so – lucky for me! Upon my arrival, my airport pickup was waiting for me and with a flower put in my hair we were off to the hostel. It was well after dark when I arrived but I could already see and feel a great time ahead. After I got settled into my room I came out to be greeted with a Kava circle where I was to sit at the head of it. I have never in my life had so much kava! For hours we sat and played music, drank kava and talked to each other. This was exactly what I needed, right on point. There is also something to be said about how long my hair has grown – for many have pointed it out! Of course I was massively tired around midnight and had to cut my stay short, but much more there will be in the days to come.
Besides, X marks the spot, for this is the final destination before the journey around the world is complete. Not to suggest that this is the end of the travels, but it is one accomplishment Void has gained. X marks the spot and hopefully this is where the best magic will happen!
