There are no vomit bags in space

Tonight I went back to the Hayden! Yes, I do in fact live there – they have a cot and pillow waiting in the dome for me, in the very center, with the projections running for my amusement.

Ok, that’s a lie… but it does seem like I live there! However, tonight was the semi-annual Digital Universe show that blows the minds of those who have never seen the entire observable universe in 3D (without the glasses) – zooming through the galaxies in the dome, all the way to the background radiation of the universe.

Mitch and Paul came out with me – as a special treat, Cassidy came out as well! We saw the most amazing show and had such a blast together! Thank you guys so much for joining in this wonderful experience!

I took the following pictures from my lap – I think they are the most amazing I have taken so far!

Cloud Cult – Journey of the Featherless  Lyrics

there’s so many people
wondering what’s the right direction
as far as i’m concerned
there’s only one way up

Going out windows

What a busy week – saw the family for Thanksgiving and my father’s birthday. Yesterday, Mitch and I went to the Natural History Museum and had a magnificent time! Here are some interesting pictures from our excursion.

THE SEMAI: Society and Ideology

In the egalitarian Semai society, relationships between men and women are easy and reciprocal. Though recognized, marriage is not formal. What counts is ability to get along harmoniously, and this ability pervades all family relationships. The Semai view the world in terms of things one may do and things one ought not do. They believe a person consists of six things: vital soul, spirit or will, thought or consciousness, breath or fuel to live by, health, and pulse – the test of living. What one does or ought not do can affect these things for good or bad. Bad luck, for example, can be brought on by being unhappy or causing unhappiness; therefore the Semai are nonviolent.

— When did this go out the window???
