Triangle Below Canal Street

My dear friend Kevin invited me out to a random show last night. Little did we know exactly what kind of tickets they were – the CD release party for Warren Haynes (long time member of the Allman Brothers Band). Only 200 people by invite only!

We had an amazing time! Both at the show and after as we toured lower Manhattan on foot, bar hopping along the way. It was a spectacular night that has me psyched up for my departure on Saturday.

Kevin, as well as others, have told me that I need more pictures of me on Void… so here they are, a bunch of pictures of me! You can also find a picture of the two of us on the PC Richard & Sons Theater website (where I stole it from). We were asked to have a picture taken and of course we wouldn’t pass up that opportunity!

Integrity for displacement

Soon as in soon, Void will set off to the rest of the world, for the second leg of this trip. However, once gone there is no turning back. For the next two months Void will travel Europe in search of inspiration, then for the third and fourth leg of the trip to Asia and Australia, making its way back to the United States.

More updates to come as the preparation for the next 6 months wraps up and the final departure from common ground begins.

That has such people in it

“All conditioning aims at that: making people like their inescapable social destiny.”

“…in fact, they’re only truly happy when they’re standing on their heads.”

“Can you say something about nothing?”

“I feel as though I were just beginning to have something to write about. As though I were beginning to be able to use that power I feel I’ve got inside me – that extra, latent power. Something seems to be coming to me.”

“Actual happiness always looks pretty squalid in comparison with the overcompensation for misery. And, of course, stability isn’t nearly so spectacular as instability. And being contented has none of the glamour of a good fight against misfortune, none of the picturesqueness of a struggle with temptation, or a fatal overthrow by passion or doubt. Happiness is never grand.”
