How can so many waste life?

Today was a long and grand adventure to Stonehenge and Bath. I am actually quite surprised I snapped some great photos in each location as it seemed like a busy weekend for many others as well! However everyone apparently missed the best museum – the Herschel museum. How can you miss the “birthplace” of Uranus?

Oh the colors, the colors are magnificent! Wandering is what I do best and I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed Bath – it is the most beautiful city I have seen so far. So beautiful, that I did indeed pay to get into the park to sit near the rushing water and enjoy the scenery. I was approached by and chatted with some lovely elder ladies who happened to live at the building I had been staring at across the way.

As I sat there enjoying the beauty of it all – of life, I happened to read a sentence that struck me at once, “Stop reading for a moment and ponder this: Do you feel that you are wasting your life? Why?” NO, I declared silently and instantly. I will not now and forever forward, waste my life. How simple of the universe to express, once again, what the mission is for Void and for any of its viewers!

Royal, Royal Parks

Today was a ‘walking through parks’ day for Void. Starting from Swiss Cottage, I journeyed through Regent’s Park, taking Baker Street to Hyde Park where I visited the Serpentine Gallery, finally ending up at the Science Museum. Along the way and during my visits to the museums, I snapped these photos to add to Void. It was a lovely long walk in which I met a very nice local on my journey back.

It was so crowded that I joked I can’t ever feel homesick because it reminds me exactly of New York City – to which a nice lady turned around and commented that she wish it were New York City. I told her at least in London you can see the sun in the sky – in New York all the buildings block it out! Ah, but the nice architecture is worth the look up in London – never, ever forget to always look up!

Void’s Freudian Parapraxis?

I went to visit the Freud museum today as I have the pleasure of staying just around the corner from it. Of course, I was denied photographs, but managed to snap a few before I was asked by the attendant to kindly stop.

I never really understood why photography wasn’t allowed in museums. I bet they fear I’m going to go reproduce Freud’s mansion in the USA. In any case, it was lovely to experience his residence and gaze upon belongings he held so dear.

“All along the tendency to deplore the absence of more has not been authorized.”
