Escape to Montjuïc

Harry took me exploring the hill that is known as Montjuïc. It is a series of parks or gardens surrounding an art museum which gives such a beautiful atmosphere it left me in no rush to leave. We wandered around shooting photos and video, exploring and living in the moment. This was by far one of my most favorite days of all. Barcelona is so amazingly beautiful that I have already in the works a backward travel at some point in the year. First, I need to complete my round-the-world trip, but I am sure this will end up in the after-trip experience.

Gaudí and Tapas

So here we are again, just like the old Amsterdam days, except a little less cloudy! Jared was passing through Spain on his travels so we met up again. Too bad we don’t have any monocles to go along with our experiences but at least we have Antoni Gaudí and tapas. Where would we be without some amazing art and a variety of appetizers?

D90 lessons in Barcelona

Yesterday I was lucky enough to run into two very nice guys who actually teach photography in Barcelona. Today, I had to hit the beach – so Harry (one of the photographers) accompanied me this morning to relax in the Mediterranean and soak up the wonderful Spanish sun. He then took me on a tour through Barcelona explaining to me some of the functions of my camera while playing tour guide at the same time, taking me to some amazing sites that I probably would not have stumbled upon. Apparently my random choice of photo equipment turned out rather well – of course only real photographers would know this and Harry was nice enough to explain why! Here are some pictures from our wanderings.
