Czech on your health first

I wonder how many posts I can do with “Czech” in the title before it becomes old. Ah, well a few more days here and it will all be over too soon. Today is the worst day I have had regarding my sickness, a bad cold indeed. For a day of staying in and resting I will fill this post with quotes from the latest book and one Jason supplied me with via email.

“A traveler sees what he sees.  A tourist sees what he came to see.”
– G. K. Chesterton

“I’d rather be a lightening rod than a seismograph.”

“Everybody’s life becomes more fabulous, every minute, than the most fabulous book.”

“The straight world outside, it seems, is made up of millions of people involved, trapped, in games they aren’t even aware of.”

“But once you’ve been through that door, you can’t just keep going through it over and over again.”

– Tom Wolfe, The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test

Czech this out

Not realizing how sick I actually was, I ventured out into the city of Prague today to see what I could find. Making my way up Radlicka, I followed my own path (which means I got lost) to the National Museum, seeing Na Slovanech Monastery, several parks and other churches on the way. When I got home however, my health turned for the worst as the fever started to do its damage. I’m feeling just well enough to edit these photos and run this post, but I feel that the next few days will have to be somewhat uneventful. However, sickness before has never stopped me, so why should it now?

Destination O

Void has made it’s way to Prague, Czech Republic! It was a long journey… even though it shouldn’t have been, but it seems like every time I transfer in Germany, something or another goes wrong and one of the two, if not both planes are delayed. However, I’m here and getting settled once again. I suppose by now I shouldn’t post “I’m getting settled” as this takes place at least once a week! In response to the new arrival I have added photos that Harry took of me with his camera while visiting Montjuïc and teaching me how to use mine. I think they came out simply amazing – even the ones that he captured while I applied sunscreen to my face. I have never had better photos taken of me!

“You can call it ‘nonsense’ if you like but I’ve heard nonsense, compared with which that would be as sensible as a dictionary.”

“Well, it’s no use you talking about waking him when you’re only one of the things in his dream. You know very well you’re not real.”

“What does it matter where my body happens to be? My mind goes on working all the same. In fact, the more head downwards I am, the more I keep inventing new things.”

“It’s too late to correct it when you’ve once said a thing, that fixes it, and you must take the consequences.”

– Lewis Carroll, Through the Looking-Glass
