Sean’s Comments:
A very impressive piece, reminiscent of Rorschach. This work suggests a cat, but the determined viewer can form their own conclusions based on their own experiences, which explains the two Mexicans fighting over a hot dog while riding a submarine.

Bold, unusual color choices show the artist’s confidence. It also encourages audience participation, as staring at this piece intently for 30 seconds then looking at a blank wall… well, it doesn’t do much. But it looks like that kind of painting, so that you think it might do something. A well-taught lesson in false assumptions.

Can it ever be said that you can have too much blue? No, it cannot, and this piece exemplifies blueness in all its wonder. The fact that the artist had no other colors on hand at the time, having sold them for beer money, has no bearing on the cool, liquid feel that is evoked here.

A monochromatic piece that will look into your very soul and demand more than you have to give, until you blink and reinterpret it as islands upon a gray sea. Dare you blink again?

The use of paint and photo to ‘frame’ the lamp is an inspired touch; it truly emphasized that the lamp is the center of this piece. Note that the corner of the wall seems to spring forth from the shade, as if to say “Look, I illuminate all around me, at least until I hit the ceiling and split off into other directions.” A stunning example of lampitudedness.

Here is a perfect example of the artist’s commitment to her craft. You might think from this photo that the painting is resting on some sort of stand or easel, but no, the artist herself is under the sheet holding it up. One can often find her wandering around local parks taking her paintings for a walk, although her unfortunate tendency to scream the names of her works at anyone nearby can be a bit uncomfortable for those not familiar with performance art. Such is the price of vision, and I pity those who cannot appreciate the the shrill cries of “KETUBAH!!! KETUUUUBAHHHH!” on a bright sunny day.

Cleverly titled, as it is reminiscent of what this reviewer sees *below*, after he has passed out upon drinking too much paint thinner. Art that is true to life always speaks loud and clear, but is often asked to tone it down a little and hand over some aspirin.

I love this piece. It reminds me that I am free, that life is to be enjoyed, that yes I must Touch It. So I proceeded to do so, until the security guard escorted me from the building, as apparently art appreciation is not to be so, shall we say, vigorously encouraged. Highly recommend that you pick up a print in the gift shop, so that you may Touch It in the privacy of your own home. Viva l’ecouter!

A remarkably bold statement on human sexuality. The near-pornographic visuals on display in this piece were enough to shock even this jaded reviewer, resulting in further admiration of the bravery of the artist.
