Today I took another stroll around Melbourne, but much longer this time. I had heard about hidden alleys with walls of art that are around the city and I was lucky enough to happen upon two of them. I spent a lot of time looking at them and a good amount of time photographing them. Night shots have never been easy for me, but from all the tips and lessons along my travels, I was able to fiddle around and grab some rather impressive shots! Well, impressive to me at least! I feel like I’m finally getting a handle on this camera. My goal to learn how to be a photographer on this journey is coming along rather well. I have nearly 27,000 photos shot from this camera, but of course a lot less on the site.
“But we are all travelers in what John Bunyan calls the wilderness of this world – all, too, travelers with a donkey; and the best that we find in our travels is an honest friend. He is a fortunate voyager who finds many. We travel, indeed, to find them. They are the end and the reward of life. They keep us worthy of ourselves; and, when we are alone, we are only nearer to the absent.”
– R. L. Stevenson, Travels with a Donkey in the Cevennes
“…let her go at her own pace, and let me patiently follow.”
– R. L. Stevenson, Travels with a Donkey in the Cevennes
“There is something better than music in the wide unusual silence; and it disposes him to amiable thoughts, like the sound of a little river or the warmth of sunlight.”
– R. L. Stevenson, Travels with a Donkey in the Cevennes
